A New Pair of Shoes
Have
you ever wanted to buy an expensive shoes? Have you ever stolen your
father’s money to buy something? When we have a new brand of shoes especially
an expensive shoes that some people rarely have, we can feel so confident and
proud of ourselves when we wear it to go anywhere. From those questions
that I mentioned above, I ever had a bad experience about stealing my father’s
money to get a new pair of shoes. I realize that stealing to have a new pair of shoes is not
right.
When
I was in senior high school I wanted to buy a new pair of shoes. The shoes were really
expensive for me. The price of that shoes were Rp. 750.000. Because of the shoes were really expensive, I decided to have a money box and save my pocket money that I
had got from my father to fill up my money box. I saved my pocket money about a
month. I didn’t buy anything when I was at school or after I got back from my
school. I tried to save my money as much as I can to fill up my money box.
Apparently, after a month I had saved my money, my money box didn’t enough yet
to buy the new shoes, and I just had about Rp. 300.000 in my money box. At the time, I
really wanted to get the new shoes as soon as possible. So, I confused because
I didn’t have enough money to buy the new shoes.
After
a month I had saved my pocket money and apparently my money box didn’t enough
yet to buy the new shoes. I'd been thinking about two days how to get some money as
soon as possible. I got an idea how to get some money eventually. I decided to
steal my father’s money that he always saves in his office room in my house. On the third days, when my father was working at his company, I
went to my father’s office room to take some money. I took about Rp. 600.000 from his
locker in his office room. After I got the money, I had about Rp. 900.000 in my money
box, and then I went to shoes store to buy the new shoes. Finally I got the new
shoes that I really wanted to have. I was very happy and so proud because I had
a new pair of shoes.
The next day after I bought the new shoes, I wore it to my school. I felt so
happy and confident because of the new shoes. After I back from my school, in
my house my mother asked me. She said “where did you get the shoes?” and I said
that I saved my pocket money to get the new shoes. My mother believed me that I
got the new shoes after I saved my pocket money. At night after my father was back
from his working, he saw me that I had a new pair of shoes and asked me the same
question as my mother asked. I said the same answer like I said to my mother
and then he believed me too. He went to his office room and put his bag in his
locker. He checked his money and he shocked that a half of his money had gone.
He asked my mother and my sister about his money but they didn’t know anything
about it. He asked me too, and finally he knew that I had stolen his money that
I used to buy a pair of new shoes.
He
was very angry to me. He said that he would not give me money again as my
pocket money until the money that I had stolen back. I felt so afraid and I regretted
of what I had done. My father didn’t want to speak to me and my mother could not say
anything at the time. I knew they both were angry to me. I could not sleep well
and I confused because I didn’t know what I should do. I decided to apologize
for stealing his money and I promised that I would not do it again next time. The next day before I went to school, I apologized to him because of what I had done.
He accepted my apology for stealing his money and it was so relieved. My father
said “you don’t need to steal my money if you want to buy a new pair of shoes, you just
say to me and I will give you some money to buy it. It is better than you
become a thief”. I went to school and I felt so relieved because my father
forgave me. I promised to myself that I would not do it again.
There
are many ways that we can do if we want to have something that we really want
to have. Like what I did in this story. I wanted to get a new shoes, I saved my
pocket money, and finally I stolen my father’s money to buy a new pair of shoes. I
realize the way that I choose to get something is wrong. From my story I
know that we have so many ways to get something but it depends on you,
what kinds of way that you want to choose. So, if you don’t want to have a
mistake, choose the good way like to be honest, work hard, and be more patient if
you want to get something.
